The Job Vacancy Survey explores labor demand in the St. Louis and Kansas City MSAs and provides estimates of job vacancies in a timely and consistent method. Every six months, the Job Vacancy Survey provides focused information about the reported occupations, including the necessary skills, education, desired years of experience, math and reading level requirements, and required/desired personal attributes. The information can be used to direct the planning and allocation of training and education resources to better prepare the local workforce to meet existing local demand.
A detailed report in pdf format is available for each survey. Data for St. Louis ranges from October 2001 through October 2007. Data collection for Kansas City began May 2006. Select MSA below:
