The Gateway Bed Bug Training and Technology Project is a partnership of the Public Policy Research Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and the St. Louis Lead Prevention Coalition. The project is funded by a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency. The 12-month project is working to:

  • create accessible resource materials for low-income, minority and immigrant households that have been or are at risk for being impacted by the bed bugs epidemic
  • train code enforcement and social service agency personnel in strategies for limiting and preventing bed bug infestations and
  • develop model ordinances for adoption by local governments.
